Read Across America Week

The week of March 1-5, Hemingway Elementary celebrated Read Across America Week. We use this week to celebrate the joy of reading and Dr. Seuss' birthday! In addition to reading activities, we also had themed dress-up days to help everyone get excited about reading. Monday was Put Me in the Zoo day, where students and staff dressed in polka dots. Tuesday was What Pet Should I Get? and we all dressed in animal prints. Wednesday was Wacky Wednesday, where we all dressed wacky and tacky. Thursday was Fox in Socks day. Everybody wore their craziest socks. Friday was Oh, the Places You'll Go! day, where we all wore college shirts or dressed as our future career. Please see pictures on our homepage.
